Web Site Templates - they just might be the best thing out there- for you.
We've had a few people call us and explain how their product and/or service is unique, and therefore, a template-based web design would do nothing for them. Really?
As best as we could, we try to explain that just because you start out with a template, doesn't mean that you're ending up with the same site as someone else.
Think about the automobile: most of them have 4 wheels, an engine, transmission, doors, steering wheel, etc. The car is kinda a template-based machine. Every single one starts out with a pre-defined set of rules, and then the nuances which set each one apart and give it a unique identity are added. That's not a bad thing for cars, and it's probably not a bad idea for your web site either. Especially when you consider the cost.
We'd love nothing more than to charge you thousands of dollars to custom-design a truly unique web site design from scratch, but is that the best use of your money? Chances are that if you're coming to WebFeathers, you're a small business, and you're working with a pretty tight budget. Money actually IS an object. If you went out to buy a company car, would you go right out for a Porsche, or a Lamborghini? Probably (hopefully) not.
There are so many templates out there on the market to choose from, that we're bound to find something which is pretty close to meeting the needs of your small business web site. And once we've found a template we can start with, we can customize it so that it's exactly what you want.
For example, one of our most recent clients, Seguin's Tail Waggin' Treats came to us with a pretty basic need to offer their Natural, home-made doggie treats online. We fit them right into a nice little web store based off of our Basic eCommerce Web Site Package using ZenCart. We started with a (FREE) template, and then did a very minor amount of customization. Check it out, this is the Template, and this is the result of three (yes, three) hours of customization. What we ended up with is a pretty unique, custom, and yet "template-based web site" - and it started out with a free web site design. Not too bad on the ol' budget. And we were up and running in just under three days, too - domain name, email addresses and even accepting Credit cards through PayPal.
So, before you go directly to spending your hard-earned, economy-strained dollar on a custom design, why not see if there's a free web design out there that can be customized to suit your needs? We'd sure love to help you save some money.
